Each design is built from 8–10 layers of hand-cut wood, stacked so light, shadow and highlight shift as you move past it — real, physical depth, not a printed effect. Every one of our pieces is engineered this way.
Intarsia was founded by Jay and Milan and made in Gujarat, India, by generational artisans. Jay engineers the mathematically-layered structures; the workshop hand-sands and finishes each piece over roughly 11 hours before it ships.
Intarsia is the ancient craft of fitting distinct pieces of wood together into one harmonic form. We combine that tradition with sacred geometry and spiritual icons, so every design carries both meaning and precision.
Yes — we use premium, hand-finished hardwoods sealed to last. Just dust lightly with a dry or barely-damp cloth and keep pieces out of direct moisture. With normal indoor care they hold their color and detail for years.
Every piece arrives ready to hang with a pre-drilled hole on the back — one screw and a wall anchor is all you need. It's lighter than it looks, and simple instructions are included in the box.
